This is one of the SADDEST stories ever told in Hollywood. His name is Sylvestar Stallone.

This is one of the SADDEST stories ever told in Hollywood. His name is Sylvestar Stallone. One of the BIGGEST and Most famous American Movie superstars. Back in the day, Stallone was a
struggling actor in every definition. At some point, he got so broke that he stole his wife's jewellery and sold it. Things got so bad that he even ended up homeless. Yes, he slept at the New York bus station for 3 days. Unable to pay rent or afford food. His lowest point came when he tried to sell his dog at the liquor store to any
stranger. He didn't have money to feed the dog anymore. He sold it at $25 only. He says he walked away crying.
Two weeks later,he saw a boxing match between Mohammed Ali and Chuck Wepner and that match gave him the inspiration to write the script for the famous movie,ROCKY. He wrote the script for 20 hours! He tried to sell it and got an offer for $125,000 for the script. But he had just ONE REQUEST. He wanted to STAR in
the movie. He wanted to be the MAIN ACTOR. Rocky himself. But the studio said NO. They wanted a REAL STAR.
They said he "Looked funny and talked funny". He left with his script. A few weeks later, the studio offered him $250,000 for the script. He refused. They even offered $350,000. He still refused. They wanted his movie. But NOT him. He said NO. He had to be
IN THAT MOVIE.
After a while, the studio agreed, gave him $35,000 for the script and let him star in it! The rest is history! The movie won Best Picture, Best Directing and Best Film Editing at the prestigious
Oscar Awards. He was even nominated for BEST ACTOR! The Movie ROCKY was even inducted into the American National Film Registry as one of the greatest movies ever!
And do You know the first thing he bought with the $35,000? THE DOG HE SOLD. Yes,Stallone LOVED HIS DOG SO MUCH that he stood at the liquor store for 3 days waiting for the man he sold
his dog to. And on the 3rd day,he saw the man coming with the dog. Stallone explained why he sold the dog and begged for the dog back. The man refused. Stallone offered him $100. The
man refused. He offered him $500. And the guy refused. Yes,he refused even $1000. And,Believe it or Not,Stallone had to pay $15,000 for the same, same dog he sold at $25 only! And he
finally got his dog back!
And today, the same Stallone who slept in the streets and sold his dog JUST BECAUSE he couldn't even feed it anymore,is one of the GREATEST Movie Stars who ever walked the Earth!
Being broke is BAD. Really BAD. Have You ever had a dream? A wonderful dream? But You are too broke to implement it? Too tiny to do it? Too small to accomplish it? Damn! I've been there too many times!
Life is tough. Opportunities will pass you by,just because you are a
NOBODY. People will want your products but NOT YOU. Its a tough
world. If you ain't already famous, or rich or "connected", You will find it rough.
Doors will be shut on You. People will steal your glory and crash your hopes. You will push and push. And yet NOTHING WILL HAPPEN.
And then your hopes will be crashed. You will be broke. Damn broke. You will do odd jobs for survival. You will be unable to feed yourself. And Yes, you may end up sleeping in the streets.
It happens. Yes, it does.
BUT NEVER LET THEM CRUSH THAT DREAM. Whatever happens to
You, Keep Dreaming. Even when they crush your hopes, Keep Dreaming. Even when they turn you away, Keep Dreaming.
Even when they shut you down, Keep Dreaming.
NO ONE KNOWS WHAT YOU ARE CAPABLE OF EXCEPT YOURSELF! People will judge You by HOW you look. And by WHAT You have.
But please, Fight on! Fight for Your place in history. Fight for your glory. NEVER EVER GIVE UP!
Even if it means selling all your clothes and sleeping with the dogs, ITS OKAY! But AS LONG AS YOU ARE STILL ALIVE, Your STORY IS NOT OVER. TRUST ME.
Keep Up the Fight. Keep your dreams and hope alive. Go great .

What Is ICT Education and Why Is It Important?

Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) education is basically our society’s efforts to teach its current and emerging citizens valuable knowledge and skills around computing and communications devices, software that operates them, applications that run on them and systems that are built with them.

What are these things? How do they work? How do you use them productively? How are they deployed, assembled, managed and maintained to create productive systems? How they are used in specific business and industry settings? What are the underlying science and technologies behind them and how might those be developed to advance ICT fields?

ICT is complex and quickly changing, and it is confusing for many people. It is so pervasive in the modern world that everyone has some understanding of it, but those understandings are often wildly divergent.

There are many important dimensions to ICT education, including:
  • ICT/Digital Literacy – Today, everyone needs a basic understanding of ICT and how to make productive use of it, just to be good students, workers and citizens. Teaching people how to be competent basic users of ICT technologies is an important role of ICT education, so they will be successful in their academic and work careers, and so they can efficiently participate in modern technical society. As part of its study validating U.S. Department of Labor IT Competency model content in California, MPICT determined with 99% confidence California employer agreement with the following statements regarding Digital Literacy:

    • “Information and communication technologies (ICT) competencies are increasingly important for most of our employers, regardless of role. If there was an agreed-upon standard for "digital literacy", or ICT competencies expected of all workers, regardless of workplace role, my organization would value a credential based on that standard as a way of validating ICT skills for non-ICT workers.” (70.5% agree or very much agree)

    • “In the 21st century, an ability to work with information and communication technologies is becoming as essential to education, life and workplace success as "reading, writing and arithmetic".” ICT Digital Literacy should be considered a basic skill by educational systems, something taught to and assessed for all students. (85.2% agree or very much agree)

    • This study details 49 competencies for ICT User level knowledge and skills, as an actionable, teachable and assessable definition of what people need to know and be able to do to be “digitally literate.”

  • ICT Infrastructure and Support Applied Technologists – Beyond a basic user competency, our society also needs more knowledgeable and capable technical people to deploy, manage and maintain ICT equipment, software and systems, so they work well for users. In all industries, these people manage computer and communications hardware, software and applications; networked systems; online information sharing, communication and commerce systems; business processes making use of these systems; and user support.

  • Specialized Business and Industry Uses of ICT – As enabling technologies, ICT is used strategically in almost all businesses and industries. Many have developed specialized systems and uses of ICT, and many have specialized legal and regulatory requirements; quality control systems; integrations with production and research equipment and systems; security requirements; and software applications. For example:

    • Bioscience industries rely on specialized ICT systems and applications to conduct research, analyze organic materials, produce biotech products and do required reporting;

    • Financial services industries rely on ICT to maintain customer records, do business, conduct trades, do financial reporting, secure proprietary information and comply with regulations;

    • Manufacturing industries use specialized computer controlled systems and robotics to design, produce and test products.

    • Property management operations use ICT to network and control heating and cooling, lighting and building access systems.

    • Electric utilities use ICT to monitor and manage electricity distribution, customer billing and smart metering systems.

    • Telecommunications, cable TV and other entertainment industries use ICT to store content, manage customers and deliver their services.

We need to develop a competent workforce that understands not only relevant technologies, but also specialized business and industry environments and operations, to meet these specialized needs.

  • ICT Research and Development Scientists – ICT fields themselves are under constant pressure to evolve and improve. We need people who deeply understand the science and technologies underlying ICT and who can work to advance the fields.
In virtually all modern businesses and industries, and in modern society in general, ICT has key strategic roles. It is strategically important to develop citizens and workers who can competently and efficiently operate and add value in these systems and environments.

Lesbian Scandal Rocks Kogi University: As Video Goes Viral

Lokoja—Once again, Kogi State University is in the news for unpleasant reasons as lesbian sex videos involving students of the university recently emerged on the campus.
Some of the students involved are those of Economics and English Education departments.
The two students in one of the videos monitored by Vanguard, revealed how deep the culture of lesbianism had infiltrated the female hostels in the school.
One of the students is considering leaving the school to avoid possible stigmatization as the videos had gone viral.
A female student in the Department of Zoology who craved anonymity, told Vanguard that lesbianism was becoming a big issue in the university.
She said young, fresh undergraduates were lured into the immoral club as many of them do not know what was in it before joining the lesbian ring.
“Kogi State University is fast becoming the comfort zone for lesbians. Many Jambites are lured into the ring because they don’t even know what it is all about.
‘’What they do now is to relocate off-campus in order to enjoy the privacy needed for their illicit and immoral act. Once in it, it is so difficult to renounce because lesbians share a lot of gifts to keep victims in it.
‘’The authorities of this school may need to take drastic steps to restore the moral integrity and discipline for which we were known,” she said.
When Vanguard got in contact with one of the lesbians, she said she was lured into lesbianism in her first week on campus by a very wealthy 300 student.
She said she was not aware that their sex escapades were recorded, threatening to quit the university in order to save the integrity of her family.
“My attention was drawn to the video in circulation by one of my friends. When I watched it, I knew that was the end of my stay in this school.
‘’Many of my course mates already have the video, so it will be difficult for me to continue my academic programme because of possible stigmatization. I have brought shame to myself and my family,” she lamented.
Although the school authorities are yet to release an official statement on the scandal, sources close to the authorities said investigations into the issue of lesbianism among the students had commenced.

Actress Susan Maxwell Reveals Why She Bleached

The Abia state born actress who is a niece to Nollywood veteran actor, Ashley Nwosu made her first debut with Isawuru and she has been unstoppable since then. The actress who is also into skincare, in a new interview with PlaygroundTV, addressed some issues about piracy in Nollywood, why she bleached, why Nigerian men prefer light-skinned women and why acting is her passion, but skin care is her life. Read excerpts below:
Describe your journey into the movie industry.
Movie making has been a part of me since childhood. I started from my church drama group. When I felt it was time to bring out what I had to people who know more than I do in the field, I joined a group in my area at Ipaja. A year later, I shot my first movie, Isawuru, in 2007, directed by Murphy Afolabi, and that was the movie that brought me to the limelight.

The marketer approached me to do another movie and the same year we shot another movie called Nkan to ba gba, directed by Odunlabi Adekola. Later on, I got another vision for my skin care business which I started officially in 2010, but started in my house in 2009, and that pulled me out of the industry. Now this business pays me more than acting.
How has piracy affected your career?
Piracy is not encouraging talents. I did a movie recently and after pumping in a lot of money I did not get returns on my investment. Outside money, acting is something I truly enjoy, but piracy is not letting me practice what I enjoy.
I shot Faramade with one million, one hundred and fifty thousand naira (N1,150,000) and made only seven hundred thousand naira (N700,000). Most people ask us if we are crazy. Why do we pump money into something that doesn’t yield returns? Even if it’s not giving you any profit, it should give you the capital back, but when you’re doing something you have passion for, it looks crazy to people, and yes I’m crazy about what I do.

What solution would you proffer to this problem?
I don’t have much of a choice; as they say, ‘If you can’t beat them, join them’. There is nothing one can do about Alaba pirates for now. The solution is to produce what the marketers can sell at a reasonable price before the pirates produce theirs.  I will still press further and hope that the new government will intervene. I also hope God helps us all. Many in the industry have tried their best to beat piracy to no avail. They have tried everything, from rallies, to visiting Alaba market etc, all to no avail. No one knows who the pirates are. My conclusion is that when something is beyond human power, we have no choice but to call on God.

How did you start your skin care business?
When I started my skin care business, I thought it was for people who needed to brighten their skin. With time, I got clients with serious medical problems. In some cases, I’ve had to protect myself because of the severity. Some clients came to me after visiting several hospitals. I was their last resort and by God’s grace they used my products and the story changed for better. This has spurred me on.
I started with a short formal training, and with personal research and talent; I have only had positive results.
Many people are of the opinion that light-skinned ladies are more attractive, and everything they wear shows off better and that is why I am here to help people enhance their complexion. I used to be very dark; I never thought I could become as fair as I am. I did it because I want to practice what I preach. I want them to see me and be blown away, especially those who knew me when I was dark. Because what I’m giving people isn’t something that would damage their skin but repair their skin, I use it on myself as well. If I wasn’t in this line of business, I probably wouldn’t have toned my skin at all. I don’t call it bleaching. I call it skin restoration.
They say “Black is beautiful” is that statement overrated?
In Nigeria, people believe our weather doesn’t encourage them to maintain their dark complexions, often getting uneven skin tones because of the harsh rays of the sun. Most people believe when they are fair, rain or shine, they have something constant to maintain. Most of my clients are above 18, and if they want to be white, I give them what they want. Black is beautiful, but I have no qualms with enhancing your complexion. 80% of Nigerian men want their women to be fair. They want a lady that draws attention to them. I’ve worked with many married women who complain of their men staring at fair women and they say to me, “Susan, make me fair, I want to be attractive to my man!”
Some women have said their sons want them to visit their schools because they want to show off their fair mother. Clients all over the world have asked for my products. Black is beautiful but there is nothing wrong with enhancing your complexion.
Acting is my passion, skin care is my life. Acting has helped my business because people recognise me and are relaxed around me because they know I wouldn’t want to tarnish my image.
What are the challenges you face?
So far, I haven’t had many. I just have those I call stubborn clients who expect my products to act like magic. I tell them, anything that turns you white overnight can damage your skin overnight but many of them are impatient.
Does this line of business bring you fulfilment?
I have tried many businesses. Clothing, hair, makeup etc but skin treatment has brought me a lot of respect.
Are you married?
I am not married. I have a wonderful daughter who is my life and my world, and I would like to have more kids. I am currently engaged to my baby’s father, Tokunbo Awoga, a producer/director, although we do not live together. He directed Faramade and we will be working on another movie soon. I named my movie Faramade after my daughter.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
I would like to see my products retailed in different stores

Kim Kardashian dresses as HERSELF for Halloween by wearing same floral gown she modeled in 2013 at Met Gala when pregnant with North

The 35-year-old reality diva slipped into the same floral gown she wore to the Met Gala in NYC in 2013 when she was heavily pregnant with daughter North West.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star - who is expecting a son in December - wrote in her caption, 'I think I nailed the Kim K costume!' In another photo she wrote, 'Still fits!'

Earlier the reality trailblazer teased what her costume would be.
Kardashian shared a shot of a cartoon version of her look complete with a full moon in the background and flying bats.
Her caption read, 'Sneak peek. Happy Halloween.'

Kim was seen in a car just before her sneak peek post. She had on her gown and was nicely made up with red lips.
In the past, Kim has dressed in sexy outfits - she was Wonder Woman, Little Red Riding Hood and Poison Ivy, among others - but because she is so pregnant, her choices are limited.
It is not yet know what North is wearing though on Friday she was seen wearing an Elsa costume from the hit Disney film Frozen.
Cousin Penelope was Ana.
