After The Announcement, Voluntary Retirement Galore.....Five Deputy Comptrollers General of Customs (DCGs) VOLUNTARILY tendered their resignation letters! Less than 24 hours after, the Nigeria Customs Service announced again the VOLUNTARY retirement of another 29 senior officers, bringing the total to 34. The five DCGs include John Atte, in charge of finance administrations and technical services, who took over as acting CG following the voluntary retirement of Abdullahi Dikko. He later handed over to Ali, after his appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari. Others are DCG, Adewumi Akinade, in charge of tariff and trade; Austin Nwosu, strategic research and policy; Musa Tahir, enforcement, investigation and inspection as well as Ibrahim Mera, who was DCG in charge of human resources development.
